|
Romans 5:19 Romans 5:12-14 Isaiah 53:10 |

Ephesians 1:6 Revelation 7:9-17 |
Points:
Disobedience is inattention, which is not having an interest in what's being heard or careless hearing.
A disobedient congregation will not hear the Word correctly.
The Word should attract people, not miracles.
We must not put our spiritual transformation on hold to pursue worldly lusts.
When you love wrong, you won't preach right.
Many books inform, but only one transforms.
Summary:
Disobedience is defined as inattention. It can also be called careless hearing. Careless hearing is when one is not interested in what's being said. Someone who is a careless hearer decides that they won't be subject to what they hear before they hear it. When this happens sin has already been conceived in the heart. Because of one man's disobedience, Adam, sin entered into the world. Because sin entered in, death also entered in. All men have sinned and come short of God's glory. This is why we all need Jesus. After we accept the righteous act Jesus did on the cross, we are made righteous. Because of His obedience to His Father, we are reconciled to the Father. Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more. Unfortunately, many people don't see sin as a disease today. They see it as fun. Anytime we disobey God's Word, we are sinning and the wages of sin is death. Disobedience draws God's wrath. Thank God for His longsuffering. A disobedient congregation will not hear the Word correctly. We must continue to be attentive hearers of God's Word. He said obedience is better than sacrifice.
