Points:

  1. God is at the center of  true intimacy.

  2. You will be committed to what you spend time with.

  3. Do not wake love before its time.

  4. Where there is commitment, there is intimacy.

  5. Any love based on the system of this world is shipwrecked.

  6. The soul apart from God will be restless.

Summary:

Commitment means to totally deny yourself for the will of another.  That is the commitment that Jesus had for His father.  Any love based on the system of this world is shipwrecked.  If you are not committed to God, you will not be committed to anyone else.  Commitment is monogamy, accountability, and responsibility.  Where there is commitment their is intimacy and God is at the center of true intimacy.  When you are committed to God, it will cause you to go and stay where God has called you to go.  You get all the nourishment you need when you stay where God has planted you.  If you choose to follow your will and go some place else, you may still grow, but not to the full capacity you would if you stayed where God planted you.
