Points:

  1. Which one will we allow to program us, the human nature or the Spirit of God?

  2. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us to the truth.

  3. To avoid being deceived, we must continue in prayer and ministry of the Word.

  4. False prophets will use some of the word and mix it with error.

  5. False prophets draw attention to themselves, not God.

Summary:

If we don't have a desire to pick up Jesus in the form of the Word, we will be easily deceived by the spirit of error.  When we're preaching God's Word, we are worshipping God.  We must stay alert by continuing in prayer and ministry of the Word.  Ministry is not limited to the walls of the church building.  We must be ready to ministry anywhere we go.  The Holy Spirit will guide us with the Word.  Our spirit is led by what it sees, hears, the status quo.  However the Spirit of God speaks only what Jesus tells it to speak.  Those who know Jesus (the living Word) knows God's voice coming through others.  If we know God, He will give us an understanding of His Word   Jesus' doctrine was not His own, but the Father's.  The spirit of error (Satan) tries to imitate the Spirit of Truth.  We must be receptive of the truth that the Holy Spirit leads us to.  We're going to either teach what the world says about God or  what the Holy Ghost says about God.  God always intended for His kingdom to influence the world by the preaching of the gospel.  We must not let the spirits of this culture to influence us to follow after the world and not God.  Our defense is the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
