Good Intentions, Bad Terms

Focus:

Scriptures:

2 Thessalonians 1:5-7

2 Corinthians 11:12-15

John 3:19

John 8:19

Judges 7:1

Points:

  1. People perish because they don't know Jesus.

  2. The terms of men are hidden under the guise of scripture.

  3. Darkness will not convict darkness.

  4. When you try to mix holy terms with unholy terms, it's not of God.

  5. When you don't know God's terms, every one who does will seem evil to you.

Summary:

Terms are the conditions of an agreement.  God has conditions attached to salvation.  All of God's terms are written in the Holy Scriptures.  Man, with his imagination, devises his own terms.  If man's terms don't line up with God's terms, his terms are not good terms.  Good intentions with bad terms is nothing more than the commandment of men. The commandment of men is a mixture of man’s beliefs’ with the word of God.  It may appear to be holy, but when you look at the terms you will see that it does not line up 100% with the Word of God. The terms determine whether something is holy or worldly. Christmas is a good example of good intentions with bad terms.  The birth of Jesus is the Gospel, but it is being used to cover up Babylon in Christmas.
