Focus:
Scriptures:
|
Matthew 6:33-34 Job 1:20-21 |
Job 2:8-9 Job 3:25-26 |
Romans 8:35, 38 |
Points:
If we don't let the Word be our foundation, trials will take us out.
A lot of noise takes place in our lives when we lean to our own understanding.
Trust in God and cast your cares on Him.
Let nothing separate you from the love of Christ.
If we have Jesus, we don't have to worry about what will happen tomorrow.
Summary:
When God says, "Seek ye first. . .," there are no options. Are we practicing this? We must make His kingdom our greatest care. If we prioritize God first, we won't have to worry about what will happen tomorrow. We must cast all of our cares on the Lord. Cares will take us out if we don't put them where God says to put them. Job humbled himself and worshipped God in a time of loss. When we have a relationship with God, this is possible. All things are possible to those who believe. Job glorified God with his mouth even when he was sick. Satan tried to use his only family left, his wife, to tempt Job to curse God. Although he worshipped God in the midst of his trials, his human nature started poking him. Fears will come, but we must continue to fight back. We must not allow anything to separate us from the love of Christ. God can supernaturally empower us to handle things that come to try to separate us from Him.
