Shutting Out the Truth, True Leaders, and True Followers

Focus:.

Scriptures:

Galatians 4:11-18

Points:

  1. A lot of saints are ashamed of holiness.

  2. It's good to have zeal for a good thing.

  3. Many Christians are afraid of the gospel.

  4. The day you let your faults be bigger than God's grace, you are threatening perdition.

  5. Are you preparing to die?

Summary:

God is not subject to man.  We fall to sin, but God doesn't.  Even though we my fall to sin, if we have a heart to repent, God will still use us.  He still loves us.  Joseph had faults, but that didn't change God's mind about using him to do His will.  Holiness does not mean sin free.  It means you're letting Jesus be the leader in your life.  When Jesus came, He didn't take away the human nature.  In our  struggle with our human nature, we must decrease and allow God to increase in us.  God wants Himself to be in us.  When we truly follow Jesus, our worship won't sound like war but worship.  A lot of worship today has so much world in it that it looks like the world.  We take marital infidelity very seriously.  How serious do we take infidelity to God?  Gentiles were into rituals and things contrary to God.  God wants us to take His position of holiness and sanctification everywhere we go.  God's grace is bigger than sin.  We are saved by grace and restored by grace, not works.  When we see others fall, let's walk in the love of God.
