Our
Bishop Willie J. Hendrson
Our First Lady
Pastor Zandra Henderson
Every church ordained by God has a history uniquely its own. On November 4, 1984, the Body of Christ Fellowship Church's history began. It was on this date that the Lord confirmed brother Willie J. Henderson's calling as a pastor. Beginning with about five members, Pastor Henderson went full-time into the ministry, resigning as a band director for Mississippi Valley State University. Although he was at the pinnacle of his career, he knew that it was better to "suffer affliction with the people of God" than to enjoy the riches of the world.
Along with the vision of how He wanted His church to grow, the Lord revealed, to the pastor, the name by which the church would be called. As the name implies, the church represents the body of Christ working together in unity, fellowship, and harmony. The church's foundation scripture is based on Acts 17:11, emphasizing a church that is serious about the Word of God.
By the grace of God, we continue to CELEBRATE Jesus, and we thank God for our shepherd. We thank God that Pastor Henderson chose to "build better disciples" over "building better bands".

To the saints of the Body of Christ Fellowship Church and the Body of Christ Universal,
Grace be to you and peace from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I, Bishop Willie J. Henderson, Jr., an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, encourage you to let God be true and every man a liar that you might be justified when you speak and overcome when you are judged. As Christians, we must allow the word of God to be the final authority in our lives. Everything that pertains to life and godliness can be found in God's word. Meditate on the Word daily. We must see the Word of God as our necessary food. Just as we feel a need to eat (natural foods) daily, we should even more see our spiritual food (the Word) in the same way. We must not neglect our spirit for it is by the spirit that we connect with God. I encourage you to make the Word of God priority in your lives. The Word is our manual of holy living. The Bible is "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth," remember that.
There is a wisdom that's higher and a wisdom that's lower - the higher wisdom is spiritual - the Word. The lower wisdom is carnal (natural) - the wisdom of man. The world tries to make Christians feel minuscule when they don't possess the wisdom of this world (with degrees), but we (Christians) possess the higher wisdom - the Word.
The Gospel is not a doctrine of success (to the world) because of the cross. When we talk according to the Word of God, we are seen as a failure in the eyes of the world. God chooses the foolish things of the world to show true success. There is a right way to fail and a wrong way to fail. True success is failure (by the world's standards) for Jesus - the right way to fail. Laying aside the wisdom/Word of God to chase the wisdom of the world is the wrong way to fail. God will turn your cross into a throne, if you are not afraid to be called a failure by the world.
Let your love be without hypocrisy. We (Christians) must be sure to be "true Christians" and not "Pretenders." This is the difference between the "Pretender" and the "true Christian." "Pretenders" do not submit to authority (set by God). They despise correction. "Pretenders" want to have their own way. "Pretenders" will preach their own opinions; Christians preach God's Word. Pretenders are proud and afraid to be wrong; the Christian is humble and willing to be corrected. Examine your own hearts to see whether you are "truly" in the faith.
Saints, I encourage you to walk in Holiness. we must submit our will to God's will. If we expect to receive God's eternal reward, we will live our lives God's way and not our own. Let us follow Jesus' example. {(Heb 12:2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.}
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Be Blessed,
Bishop Willie J. Henderson,
A Word from our BISHOP
